Hi all,

I'm looking at replacing an existing Broadvoice DID with someone along
the same lines. Would really like an 802-610-xxxx number, but all I
can find else where is 802-458-xxxx. I personally don't care, but my
wife is very fond of the 610 prefix. Anyone out there provide these
numbers? Thanks in advance!

You realize that prefixes are allocated to a specific provider, short of
porting the existing number, you don't have a huge number of options.

Thanks,
John

Why not just port it?

I didn't realize Broadvoice may own the entire 802-610 block..

As for porting, I tried to get Link2VoIP to port but, but after 26
days in, it seems to have failed. Apparently it's in their TOS that
you cannot port numbers away from them. I had heard though that
people were able to so I gave it a shot, but that didn't work.

Unless there is more that I can do to port this number? Perhaps
something I can tell BV to get them to release it, contact their
provider, etc?

Looks to be owned by gnaps, anybody who resells their service can
probably get you setup with a number in that area code.
