|Hello fellow call weavers-
I'm running Callweaver 1.2.1 on CentOS 5.2 (2.6.18-128.7.1.el5). I just this box for T.38 fax receiving only, no sending. When a call comes into the box, I set a few veriables for the fax reception (LOCALSTATIONID, FAXFILE, etc), I call SipT38SwitchOver(), then go into RxFAX().
This works about 99.8% of the time. However, I'm finding some calls from one of my providers return a SIP 488 "NOT ACCEPTABLE HERE" which means the reinvite to T.38 was not successful. However, it appears RxFAX has already switched to T.38 mode. The CLI displays:
Jun 18 09:19:35 NOTICE: app_rxfax.c:543 fax_audio: Switching to generator mode
Jun 18 09:19:35 NOTICE: app_rxfax.c:561 fax_audio: Starting generator
Jun 18 09:19:37 NOTICE: app_rxfax.c:641 fax_audio: Stopping generator
When the T.38 reinvite fails, RxFAX does not revert back to the original G.711u media path that was originally in use. The caller simply hears silence and after a minute or so, the call disconnects.
Has anyone else seen this behavior? If the T.38 reinvite fails, how do you get RxFax to go back to 'Generator Mode' where G.711u audio is used?
