Subject: [asterisk-biz] usage examples for TTS and development ofAGI-programs

Hi everybody,

if you are seeking for somebody who has about two years experience
in the development of AGI-programs get in contact with me.

I have just setup a website (www.readwikipedia.net; currently only
in german and in a very early stage of development) which mentions a
phone number. When you dial that number (reachable from the normal
PSTN) you can enter a word which is then looked up in the german
wikipedia. The text is then converted to audio (TTS) and read out to
you. The way in which the word must be entered is explained on the
website. You can also enter german umlauts and ß. I have also
modified Asterisk in a way that these umlauts and ß can be played
back with the AGI command SAY ALPHA. (The phone line can be used
only by one person at the same time. Therefore it´s likely to happen
that the number is not reachable ...)

I see the power of text to speech especially in areas where a large
amount of information must be presented to the customer
(dictionaries, encyclopaedia, ...) so that it does not make sense to
have it read out by a human or in areas where the provided
information changes very fast (stock exchange prices, weather
information, ...). Well, reading emails, sms and any other kind of
dynamic textdata are good applications too.

Probably you need something similar like that or somebody for AGI
programming in general. If this is the case or if you just want to
know more about myself or want to get in touch with me for whatever
reason, I am happy to receive email from you.

Kind regards from Germany (near Hamburg),

Fabian Müller
